Whilst we cannot offer insurance on your goods whilst they are stored with us here at Aussie Safe Storage, we can certainly offer the assurance that our facility is state of the art, with 24/7 CCTV Security Surveillance, and our managers live on site, so you can be certain that your belongings are safe! 

Our facility is open from 6am – 9pm 7 days a week, and you can access your unit as often as you like, and there is absolutely no cost to access it. 

We have no hidden fees, account fees, setup, or exit fees. The price you see on our website is the price you pay. 

Only you have access to your specific unit, with the padlock that goes on your lock. We do not have access to your belongings, nor anybody else. 

Our team is always on hand to assist you with the size unit you might need, and if it turns out to be not enough space, we can easily move you to a bigger sized storage unit. 

Whilst our team are unable to help all our customers with moving their items into their new storage units with us, we do have a large collection of trolleys that they can use to help make the job easier and quicker.

You can store just about anything you can think of in your storage unit, it is entirely up to you. From personal belongings, sentimental items, memorabilia, furniture and bulky household items, to tradies or business storage, the possibilities are almost limitless. Except of course anything illegal, flammable or that could be a hazard to the facility or neighbouring storage units. 

There are some obvious no-nos when it comes to what you cannot store in a storage facility, the main big ones being anything illegal, flammable or toxic. 

Here is a list of some other things we don’t recommend:

•  Any perishable items – fresh food items, meats, dairy are all not allowed. The reason is that such perishable items can rot, spoil, will most definitely attract rodents, go mouldy and can create a hazardous environment for your own unit, and those units nearby. 
• For the same reasons, any wet or scented items are also prohibited. Perfumes, candles, soaps etc all can break down with exposure to heat and cause damage to other items. The scents can also attract vermin which is something we all want to avoid, despite us implementing strong pest control measures.  
• Any living things are not suitable for a storage facility – plants, animals or any other living creature cannot be stored within a storage unit. Plants will likely die as there are no windows for natural light, and there is no ventilation, and can attract insects and vermin too. Storing animals of any kind is unethical, cruel and will not be tolerated. 
• Any hazardous material that can be considered dangerous is not allowed to be stored in a self storage unit. 

These include any combustible, flammable or pressurised materials. Any toxic chemicals, kerosene, lamp and motor oil acid, grease, fertilizers, hazardous toxic or biological waste, explosives or fireworks. Gas bottles need to be empty, fuel tanks in mowers and whipper snippers are to be emptied out. 

These are all prohibited, because of the immense safety risk they pose. If anything was to go wrong with any of these items, or if a fire was to break out it would have a devastating effect. 

• Weapons and ammunition cannot be stored within any storage facility. Whilst this might seem sensible as they are secure and away from family homes, they need to be stored correctly as per the Firearms Act of 1996.

We know what it’s like to have too many things on our plate and miss important details. We have easy payment plans in place so you don’t have to worry about paying the rent each month. If things fall behind, we’ll be in touch and work things out with you directly before we have to take any serious action. 

We have no hidden charges. The advertised rate for your storage unit is what you will be charged each month. We have no set up fees, no exit fees, and no account keeping fees.

While we’ll be sad to see you go, we understand that circumstances change, so that’s no worry at all. Simply notify us of your expected departure date, and we’ll have all the paperwork ready for you. On your final day once your unit is emptied, we’ll refund you the remaining days left of the month that you’ve paid. 

Your unit is yours for as long as you need it for. We welcome both long and short term rental customers. If you know you’ll be needing it for a long period of time we have flexible long-term prices that we’d be happy to discuss with you. 

Your items stored in our secure facility are safer than in our house. With our 24/7 CCTV security surveillance, onsite manager, and emergency procedures in place, your items are in good hands.
